We believe in the power of working together. Team building and collaboration allows us to develop valuable, well informed solutions to real world problems. We prioritize helping each other and making sure that everyone's voice is heard.
- Everyone's opinion and feedback is valid and valuable. Take it as a resource and harness the power of other people's feedback to improve your own work. Before working on a project, it is vital for us to first assess who gets affected by it and who should be involved, so that we can get their input and produce more effective and efficient results.
- Empathy is key. It's important to understand that everyone is working towards the same goal and caring for each other, being understanding towards each other, and empathizing with your team's personal situations is the key to building a comfortable and productive working culture.
- Assume positive intent and give your co-workers the benefit of the doubt. Remote communication with a team can be difficult and written messages don't always translate properly. Miscommunications and misunderstandings are best resolved with a quick call.
👣 Experimentation
We believe that innovation is dependent on experimentation and exploration.
- We love trying out new ideas that make our organization and procedures more efficient and impactful. Discuss your ideas with your team and people who will be impacted, outline the cost-benefit analysis of the new ideas, and test them out to see how they would work in implementation!
- Failing is okay. In some cases, it's encouraged. It's important to create an environment in which everyone feels comfortable trying out their ideas without feeling judged or undermined. Encourage your peers to propose new ideas and test them out!
- Experimentation should be wise and planned out. While we encourage testing out new ideas, we hope that all experimentation helps us grow. Any ideas that invoke negative impacts on any part of the organization will be thoroughly considered and questioned before implementing to ensure that everyone can benefit with it.

- We value honesty and exposure. As we stand by our decisions, no matter how big or small, we believe that openly sharing our beliefs, plans, discussions, and decisions allows us to get open contributions for the student community, which helps us evolve. All content, plans, and implementation is open to the public unless specified otherwise for liability/privacy concerns. Content related to any individual's personal matters will not be public without the permission of the individual involved. All team projects and programs are open source open to feedback from our community. Please contact the director of any department for more information.
- Constructive contributions from our community help us evolve. We believe in committing to decisions no matter how big or small they are. This means that we are open to questions about any decisions that we make and open to using feedback to discuss how to further advance our organization. Any and all feedback, provided that it is constructive and delivered with a positive attitude, is valuable and appreciated. We openly share feedback and make future decisions with thorough consideration.
